Welcome to Once a Highway
This gallery contains photos I shot during a short, one month journey to China in the winter of 2007. It is best viewed with a screen resolution of 1024x768.
I traveled alone for the first three weeks. But in Yangshou, met up with my mom, dad, uncle and aunt. We toured around Yangshou for a couple of days and then traveled together to Beijing to finish out the trip.
For most people, viewing the China 2007: The Highlights album will be enough. But if you're interested in seeing more photos (230 shots culled from over 600 snapped), check out The Whole Enchilada. It's divided into nine sub-albums, one for each of the major places I visited.
This site is a work in progress, so check back for these upcoming titles:
"Summer in the 'Stans, 2004"
"Overland from Burma to Manchuria, 2003"
"Round the World, 1988/89"
"Blue Skies and Typhoons in the South Pacific, circa 1982"
"Bolivia, circa 1978"
In addition, look for albums on:
Climbing,
Sailing,
Miscellaneous adventures,
And someday even Volume I of my life story, "Growing up Special"
